Services & Amenities

Unaccompanied Minors
American Airlines only permits the transfer of unaccompanied minors on/between American Airlines and American Eagle operated services.

American Airlines does not permit the transfer of unaccompanied minors between American Airlines / American Eagle operating flights and flights involving American Airlines codeshare flights operated by other carriers including Alaska Airlines / Horizon Air.

Meals
Alaska Airlines offers complimentary meals in the First Class Cabin. Both Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air offer complimentary beverages and light snacks in the Economy Class Cabin. In addition, Alaska Airlines offers meals-for-purchase in the Economy Class Cabin for flights of greater than three hours duration. Neither Alaska Airlines nor Horizon Air offer any special meals such as vegetarian, low-sodium, low-fat, kosher, etc. on any flights.

Checked Baggage and Boarding Passes
Check your baggage through to your final destination and obtain boarding passes for all American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

Classes of Service Offered
Flights operated by Alaska Airlines offer First Class and Economy Class service with the exception of Boeing 737-400 (73M), which offer Economy Class only. Flights operated by Horizon Air offer Economy Class only.

Pre-reserved Seats
Available 331 days prior to departure.

Smoking Policy
All flights operated by Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air are Non-Smoking.

Fleet
Alaska Airlines operates MD-80 and Boeing 737 (series 400/700/800/900) aircraft. Horizon Air operates Bombardier CRJ-700, Q400, and Q200 aircraft.

Lounge Access
American Airlines and Alaska Airlines do not currently have a lounge agreement that provides reciprocal lounge access for codeshare customers.

AAdvantage Information

Mileage Accrual:
Earn miles on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air when your ticket reflects an "AA" coded flight number. Just provide your AAdvantage number when you make your reservations or when you check in for your flight. View more information about earning miles on AA codeshare flights.

Elite Status Qualification:
You can earn elite-qualifying miles, segments, and points that count toward AAdvantage Gold®, AAdvantage Platinum® and AAdvantage Executive Platinum® status on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air when your ticket reflects an "AA" coded flight number. Award Redemption:
You may not redeem mileage for travel on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air. However, since Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air participates in the AAdvantage program, you can redeem miles for travel on Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air flights. Reservations & Changes Make reservations online via AA.com. To make changes to your American Airlines codeshare flight(s), call American Airlines Reservations at 1-800-433-7300 in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) and Canada.
