American has announced a number of Admirals Club alliances designed to make the travel experience more convenient, comfortable and productive . American upgraded the computer technology in the lounges worldwide for customer use through a joint marketing agreement with Lenovo. American and U.S. Helicopter joined forces to provide shuttle service between Manhattan’s Wall Street heliport and JFK Airport’s helipad, located directly below the JFK Admirals Club. This enables American’s customers to pass through the heliport’s security which has much shorter lines than those at JFK Airport. American, a founding member of the global one world ® Alliance, operates more than 40 Admirals Club lounges worldwide. The airline opened five new lounges in the past year and plans to open two new Admirals Club lounges in 2007.

Membership prices are based on AAdvantage tier status. Rates range from $450 for a regular AAdvantage member to $250 for renewing Executive Platinum members. Memberships with spouse/spousal equivalent partner are between $750 and $400. AAdvantage miles can be used to purchase memberships. One-day passes are available for $50 for an individual; up to two additional passes can be purchased for $25 each. One-day passes can be purchased at any Admirals Club location, online at www.aa.com/admiralsclub, or at domestic airport Self-Service machines.
