Getting there
You can travel to Stansted by taxi, rail, tube, or use the wide network of coach services and local buses.
By Car:
London Stansted Airport is conveniently situated just off the M11 - from London use Junction 8a or from Cambridge, use Junction 8 and simply follow the signs on the roundabout for Stansted.
If you are using a satellite navigation system the postcode is CM24 1RW.
People arriving by car are welcome to use both short term and long term parking facilities which are available at Stansted Airport.
For motorbike users dedicated parking is free in Zone D of the long stay car park.
If you are looking for Stansted parking for a holiday or longer trip, the long or mid stay Stansted Airport car parks will suit your requirements.
If you are looking for Stansted parking for a short time such as when meeting family or friends from a flight or seeing someone off, you will find the Stansted short car parks located adjacent to the terminal.
By Train
The Airport railway station is situated below the terminal building. Train tickets can be purchased at the railway station.
The Stansted Express is a fast and convenient way to travel to Stansted Airport from central London (London Liverpool Street), with trains departing every 15 minutes with an average journey time of 45 minutes.

The Stansted Express also calls at Bishops Stortford, Harlow Town and Tottenham Hale (change here for Victoria Line).
By bus or coach
The coach station is situated in front of the terminal building between the 'Fast Track' and the '15 minute pick up' areas of the short stay car parks and can be accessed from the terminal building.
Tickets can be purchased from the coach ticket desk in the arrivals area in the terminal (06:00 to 21:30) or in the coach station (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Tickets may also be purchased on the coach.
Please note that at present the majority of coaches and buses that serve Stansted Airport are not wheelchair accessible. Please contact the specific transport operator should you require further information.
