Earn miles when flying on British Airways marketed and operated flights for travel on an eligible published fare ticket. Miles are also earned on British Airways codeshare flights operated by oneworld carriers and oneworld affiliates.
Travel on British Airways and affiliate airlines counts toward qualifying for AAdvantage elite status membership.

Redeem AAdvantage Miles
Use AAdvantage miles to book award travel on British Airways flights with one of the following award options:
- oneworld & Other Airline Awards - Awards that allow you to travel to and from your desired destination using any combination of our airline participants.
- Explorer Awards - Awards that allow you to travel to multiple destinations on a single award, including around-the-world journeys, using a combination of our oneworld alliance airlines and their affiliate airlines.
All awards are valid for one-way travel — unless otherwise specified — and may be combined to create round-trip or multi-city travel. These awards are MileSAAver awards and as such are subject to special seating limitations and to certain travel embargo dates.
These British Airways flights are not eligible for award travel:

AAdvantage Elite Status Member Benefits
The following benefits apply to AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum and AAdvantage Gold members when flying on British Airways or their affiliate airlines:
- Minimum mileage guarantee for travel on flights under 500 miles
- Additional elite status bonus miles for AAdvantage Executive Platinum and
AAdvantage Platinum members. Effective November 1, 2011, AAdvantage Gold members will also receive their 25% bonus when traveling on British Airways. - Additional oneworld airline recognition and benefits

Missing Mileage Credit
Please allow up to 30 days for AAdvantage mileage to automatically post to your account.
To request missing mileage credit for flights flown on British Airways, complete an online mileage request form. When completing this form, choose British Airways from the "Select Airline Flown" drop-down menu.
