Earn Miles

Earn miles when flying on Hawaiian Airlines marketed and operated flights for travel on an eligible published fare ticket within the Hawaiian Islands and between Hawaii and Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and Tahiti. Miles are also earned on Hawaiian Airlines codeshare flights operated by American Airlines.

Note - Effective November 1, 2012, mileage accrual for travel between U.S. Mainland and Hawaii is not valid.

What is an eligible published fare ticket?

Eligible published fare tickets must be:

  1. Booked in a eligible booking code — find the fare booking code by looking for a single letter which immediately follows the flight number on your ticket. Next, compare this booking code against the airline's "Earn Miles" chart below to determine whether or not it is eligible to earn base miles and, at what percentage base miles will be accrued.
  2. On an eligible routing — check the airline's "Earn Miles" chart below to determine if any origin and destinations are excluded from earning base miles.

**Note - Travel ticketed as an AA marketed flight (booked as an AA flight number) and operated by Hawaiian Airlines will earn AAdvantage base miles and elite qualifying miles, points and segments according to the AA mileage accrual chart.

Redeem AAdvantage Miles

Use AAdvantage miles to book award travel on all Hawaiian Airlines flights (including travel between the U.S. and Hawaii) with the AAdvantage participating airline awards. These awards allow travel on any combination of AAdvantage participating carriers.

All awards are valid for one-way travel — unless otherwise specified — and may be combined to create round-trip or multi-city travel. These awards are MileSAAver awards and as such are subject to special seating limitations and to certain travel embargo dates.

There are no Travel Embargo Dates on Hawaiian Airlines in 2013.

Missing Mileage Credit

Please allow up to 30 days for AAdvantage mileage to automatically post to your account.

To request missing mileage credit for flights flown on Hawaiian Airlines, fax a copy of your ticket receipt and boarding pass(es) to 1-817-963-7882. Requests must include your name as it appears on your AAdvantage account, your AAdvantage number, and a daytime telephone number.

After providing the above required information, please allow up to 30 days for your mileage to be manually credited to your account.
