Destination Spotlight
St. Croix, often referred to as "America's Paradise in the Caribbean", is located in the U.S. Virgin Islands near the Eastern tip of the Caribbean island chain and is approximately 84 square miles. But don't let its size fool you - there are plenty of rolling hills, beautiful beaches and historical ruins to explore!
The St. Croix Heritage Trail is a 72 mile stretch with stops in architectural ruins, the Apothecary Museum, and preservations from the 18th and 19th century including Fort Christiansvaern, a national historic site. Of course, St. Croix is also home to spectacular beaches. Just a few examples are Cane Bay Beach which is a great spot for diving, Shoys Beach, an ideal location for swimming and snorkeling and Rainbow Beach for the jet ski enthusiast.
There is also plenty of shopping where U.S. citizens can purchase up to $1200 worth of duty-free goods, delicious Caribbean fare served in open-air restaurants and an abundance of beautiful beachfront resorts, villas and condos for rent or sale.
