Earning AAdvantage Miles
Earn applicable base miles each time you purchase and fly on an eligible fare ticket on Malév Hungarian Airlines. AAdvantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum®, or AAdvantage Gold® members will earn a minimum of 500 miles on eligible fare tickets.
Effective April 1, 2007, Malév became a member of the oneworld® Alliance. Qualifying miles, points and segments count toward AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum and AAdvantage Gold status. To attain AAdvantage elite status, you must fly at least four American Airlines or American Eagle® flights within the qualifying year. Mileage accrual may not be eligible on routes operated by other carriers.

Missing Mileage Credit
Please allow up to thirty (30) days for AAdvantage mileage to automatically post to your account.
Request Mileage Credit Online
To request missing mileage credit for flights flown on Malév, complete an online mileage request form. When completing this form, choose Malév from the "Select Airline Flown" drop-down menu.
To request missing mileage by telephone, call AAdvantage Customer Service:
U.S. / Canada 1-800-882-8880 and ask for 'AAdvantage Services' then 'Request Mileage Credit.'
Outside the U.S. and Canada, call 1-817-799-2500
Please have the following information at the time of your call:
- Name as it appears on your AAdvantage account
- Ticket receipt(s)
- Boarding Pass(es)
- AAdvantage account number
After providing the above required information, please allow up to thirty (30) days for your mileage to be manually credited to your account.
