On Campus

ADEPT members are recruited from universities across the country. Chosen universities demonstrate a strong commitment to the development of technology professionals through their course curriculums and various supporting programs. Some examples include:

The ITS recruiters that visit these schools — usually one senior member of ITS and one current ADEPT member — attend career fairs at the universities and promote American Airlines and the ADEPT program. Potential candidates are asked to submit resumes and after screening, a select few are invited to interview on campus. Students that do well at the campus interview receive an invitation to visit headquarters.

Selected students are measured based on academic success and aptitude in technical disciplines like Computer Science or Engineering. This includes both undergraduate and graduate students in IT related majors such as Software Engineering and Information Systems and Decision Sciences. Students are also evaluated based on their unique experiences through cultural and social interactions.

If you have any questions about recruiting for the ADEPT program, please contact ADEPT Program at adeptprogram@aa.com.
