American Airlines codeshares on select British Airways services to/from and within the United Kingdom and beyond the United Kingdom to destinations in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

North America:
Check in at the American Airlines check-in counter at all North American cities
except New York/JFK. When traveling directly to Manchester, United Kingdom from
New York's JFK airport, check in with British Airways in Terminal 7.
International Gateways:
Check in at the British Airways check-in counter at all overseas cities

London/Heathrow:
American Airlines flights arrive/depart from Terminal 3. Connecting British Airways
flights arrive/depart from Terminals 1/2/3/4 (depending on destination). Please check
the British Airways Flight Information Display Screens for the most up-to-date departure
information. For connections within Terminal 3, you will be directed to Security and
then to the British Airways desk. Follow the signs to the Terminal 3 departure lounge
and from there to your gate. To travel between Terminal 3 and Terminals 1 or 2, you will
take a bus to the Flight Connections Centre. You will pass through Customs and Security
and visit the British Airways desk before showing your passport and making your way by foot
to Terminals 1 or 2. To transfer between Terminal 3 and Terminal 4, there is a bus that will
take you to Terminal 4. Once in the Terminal, go through Security and Customs and then pass
by the airline desk enroute to your departure gate.
London/Gatwick:
American Airlines flights arrive in the North Terminal and connecting British Airways flights
depart from the North Terminal. Please check the British Airways Flight Information Display
Screens for the most up-to-date departure information.
Important Note - Gatwick / Heathrow Airport Transfers - If your itinerary has a connection
requiring a change-of-airports in London (for example, the inbound flight arrives at Gatwick but
the connection departs from Heathrow), you must clear U.K. Customs/Immigration and personally
transfer yourself and your baggage between airports. BAA, who manages all London airports has
helpful ground transportation information on their Web site - www.BAA.com

Checked Baggage and Boarding Passes
Check your baggage through to your final destination and obtain boarding passes for all American Airlines codeshare flights operated by British Airways and BA Connect.
Checked Bag Charges may apply to any flight operated by American Airlines.
Classes of Service Offered
Transatlantic and intercontinental flights
operated by British Airways offer First Class,
Business Class, and Economy Class service.
Domestic United Kingdom and European flights
operated by British Airways offer Business
Class and Economy Class service. Flights
operated by BA Connect are all Economy Class
service.
Pre-reserved Seats:
Available from 331 days prior to departure.
Pre-reserved seats are available for the following:
All First Class passengers - All destinations
All Business Class passengers - All destinations
Coach Class Passengers
- All Transatlantic/Intercontinental destinations
- All UK Domestic destinations (except BA Connect flights) for Coach Class passengers who are oneworld top tier, i.e. Ruby, Emerald or Sapphire or are full-fare Coach travelers
Pre-reserved seats are not available for the following:
Coach Class Passengers
- Intra-European flights
- Intra-U.K. flights operated by BA Connect
Meals:
Special dietary meals are offered on flights operated by British Airways, provided complimentary meal service is offered.
A minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required for all special meal requests.
Hot and cold meals and snacks are available for purchase onboard BA Connect flights.

Smoking Policy:
All flights operated by British Airways and BA Connect are Non-Smoking.
Fleet:
Flights operated by British Airways include Boeing B737-300/400/500, B757-200, B767-300, B777-200, B747-400, and Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. The BA Connect fleet of aircraft comprise the Embraer, RJ100, Dash 8 and Bae 146.

Mileage Accrual:
Earn miles on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by British Airways when your ticket reflects an "AA" coded flight number. Elite Status Qualification:
You can earn elite-qualifying miles, segments, and points that count toward AAdvantage Gold®, AAdvantage Platinum® and AAdvantage Executive Platinum® status on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by British Airways when your ticket reflects an "AA" coded flight number.
