American codeshares on Finnair flights between the United States and Helsinki, Finland as well as Stockholm, Sweden.

United States citizens require a valid Passport for travel to Finland and Sweden. A Visa is required for a stay exceeding three months. Please note - Any time spent in Norway, Iceland, Sweden, or Denmark before arrival in Finland will be deducted from the three-month entry allowance.
United States citizens require a valid Passport with an expiration date beyond two months for travel to Latvia. Maximum stay is 90 days. For additional information or requirements for other citizenships, check with the local consulate.

Connections and Airport Transfers
|
Eastbound
Passengers arriving from the United States will clear Immigration and Customs at their first point of entry in Finland or Sweden.
Westbound
New York JFK - Connecting passengers from Finland will arrive in Terminal 8. It is necessary to clear United States Immigration, then collect all checked baggage, and proceed to U.S. Customs for clearance. Passengers should then proceed to the baggage recheck area where baggage will be transferred to connecting American Airlines flights.
Passengers should then proceed to Terminal 8 or 9, depending on the onward destination, for connecting American Airlines flights.
Passengers with boarding passes should proceed directly to the departure gate indicated on the flight information monitors throughout the American terminals.
Passengers without boarding passes should proceed to the American Airlines ticket counter to obtain a boarding pass before clearing Security and proceeding to the departure gate.

Checked Baggage and Boarding Passes
Check your baggage through to your final destination and obtain boarding passes for all American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Finnair.
Checked Bag Charges may apply to any flight operated by American Airlines.
Classes of Service Offered
Flights operated by Finnair offer Business Class and Economy Class service on all international flights.
Pre-reserved Seats
Available from 180 days prior to departure until 24 hours prior to departure in all classes on transatlantic flights and in Business Class on Intra-European flights. Pre-reserved seats are not available in Economy Class on Intra-European flights.
Special Meals
Dietary meals are offered on flights operated by Finnair, provided meal service is offered. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for all special meal requests.

All flights operated by Finnair are Non-Smoking.
Fleet
Flights operated by Finnair include McDonnell-Douglas MD-11 aircraft on transatlantic flights as well as McDonnell-Douglas MD80/MD95, Airbus A320/321 and ATR72 aircraft on flights between Finland and other European destinations.
