Connections and Airport Transfers
|
Eastbound
Passengers arriving from the United States will clear Immigration and Customs
at their first point of entry in Spain.
Westbound
Passengers arriving at their first point of entry into the United States will clear customs , collect all checked baggage and proceed to Immigration for clearance.
Passengers can re-check their baggage to their final destination and if holding a connecting boarding pass, will proceed to the connecting AA flight. If passenger does not hold a boarding pass, they need to check-in with the American Airlines ticket counter.

Checked Baggage and Boarding Passes
Baggage will be checked to final destination and passengers will receive boarding passes for all American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Iberia.
Checked Bag Charges may apply to any flight operated by American Airlines.
Passengers can also check in at Iberia’s self service machines when available.
Classes of Service Offered
Flights operated by Iberia offer Business Class and Economy Class service on all international flights.
Pre-reserved Seats
Available from 330 days prior to departure until 24 hours prior to departure in selected classes of service.
Between Madrid and New York/Kennedy, Miami, Chicago and San Juan pre-reserved seats are allowed in all classes of service
Within Spain, pre-reserved seats are allowed in the following inventory classes: C, A, J, D, I, Y, B, H, K, L
Special Meals
Dietary meals are offered on flights operated by Iberia, provided meal service is offered. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for all special meal requests

Smoking Policy
All flights operated by Iberia are Non-Smoking.

Iberia operates Airbus A340 on transatlantic flights. Iberia operates Boeing 757, McDonnell Douglas M87 and M88, as well as Airbus A320 and A321 on domestic flights.
