Earning AAdvantage Miles
Earn the actual base miles flown on American Airlines, American Eagle® and AmericanConnection® when traveling on a published fare ticket. Miles are also earned on American Airlines codeshare flights (flights booked as an AA flight number but operated by another airline or rail company). Learn more about American Airlines codeshare partners.
If you are an AAdvantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum®, or AAdvantage Gold® member, you will earn a minimum of 500 miles on applicable routes, except for codeshare services within Hawaii and with rail service operators booked as the AA flight number, which earn a minimum of 250 miles on eligible fares.
Miles earned on American Airlines, American Eagle and AmericanConnection, as well as on codeshare flights booked as the AA flight number, also count toward qualifying for AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum, and AAdvantage Gold status. Learn
