Internet, Net SAAverSM, And Online Commission Policy
The following applies to U.S. 50, Canada, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands point of sale only.
Effective for tickets issued on or after March 18, 2002, AA will no longer pay a base commission for tickets issued via the Internet. This change applies to any tickets issued via the Internet and purchased in, or purchased for the use of customers in, the US50, Canada, Puerto Rico, and U.S. virgin Islands.
MCO Commission
Effective October 1, 2002, AA no longer pays base commission on MCOs issued outside the United States (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) and Canada for flights on itineraries originating within the territory of the United States (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) and Canada. VUSA and N1VISIT / N2VISIT fares are exempt from this policy.
Effective March 18, 2002, AA no longer pays base commission on MCOs issued in the United States (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) and Canada.
Transportation Voucher Commission
AA does not pay base commission on Transportation Vouchers.
Travel Agency Service Fees
When producing and collecting your travel agency service fee sales (TASF) via an automated MCO, you must validate the MCO on ARC/890 only. You may not validate the MCO on an actual carrier. If you validate the MCO on AA/001, you will receive a debit memo. Detailed information regarding the ARC TASF program is on ARC form number 111. Service Fees For Administrative Charges
Effective March 18, 2002, agencies are not permitted to retain, as a service fee, any portion of any prepaid transaction, unaccompanied minor charge, or change fee or penalty which may apply to any ticketed itinerary or unticketed prepaid.
