Paraguay Visa Fee for Business and Leisure Travel
Reason

Paraguayan authorities collect a visa fee for all arriving citizens of the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Republic of China (Taiwan), and Russia. The visa fee can be paid upon arrival to Silvio Pettirossi International Airport in Asuncion (ASU). This fee is payable in U.S. currency in cash. Credit cards are not accepted.

If not arriving at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport in Asuncion (ASU), prior to traveling to Paraguay, you must apply for a visa in person or by secure messenger at the Paraguayan Embassy in Washington, D.C., or the nearest Paraguayan consulate, and you must pay a fee.

Policy

Upon arrival in Asuncion (ASU), nationals of U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Republic of China (Taiwan), and Russia must pay the fee. The visa is valid for a maximum period of ninety (90) days.

Procedure

A passport and visa are required to enter Paraguay. U.S. citizens arriving by air may obtain a "Visa en Arribo" (visa upon arrival) at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport in Asuncion (ASU).

If not arriving at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport, prior to traveling to Paraguay, you must apply for a visa in person or by secure messenger at the Paraguayan Embassy in Washington, D.C., or the nearest Paraguayan consulate, and you must pay a fee.

If you are under the age of 18, you must provide a notarized authorization from your parent or guardian with your visa application. Visit the Embassy of Paraguay website for the most current visa information.

Failure to have funds available upon arrival may result in a customer being denied entry into Paraguay, the traveler's immediate deportation, and a fine levied on American Airlines.
