STL Resumes Service
April 24, 2011

Due to the tragic events in Japan in April as well as continued decreased demand for air travel, American will suspend its JFK service to Haneda. AA will process the re-accommodation for the normal schedule change and rebook customers to/from NRT and refer the PNR (queue place) back to the booking source. The travel agency will be responsible to work their schedule change notification queue and reissue their tickets for the re-accommodation and notify their customer.

  • AA135 JFKHND will be suspended May 8 - June 30
  • AA134 HNDJFK will be suspended May 10 - July 2

Bulk/Opaque bookings with itineraries that include AA/AA* or OA, we suggest the ticket be refunded and book the customers for new travel.

Travel Agents are to follow the normal guidelines for Schedule Change-Rule 240/80. Please refer to Schedule Change-Rule 240/80.

STL Resumes Service
April 24, 2011

AA will resume service to/from STL Monday, April 25. Customers should plan to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to flight depart. Check-in will continue to be at the Main Terminal. Due to tornado damage American Airlines will be operating from Concourse D. The Admirals Club will remain closed due to damage. Please ensure that in your customer's PNR there is current and correct contact information in case the customer needs to be contacted, preferably cell phone numbers. Please continue to check American Airlines Flight information for the most up to date information.

St. Louis Airport - Travel Notice Exception Advisory - ISSUED: 2245CT/22APR

Due to the tornado that has impacted the St. Louis (STL) airport, American Airlines offers customers the option to change their travel plans. Please refer to St. Louis Airport - Travel Notice Exception Advisory for complete details.

REFUND REQUESTS
As a reminder, if you want to initiate a refund request, select Request a Refund and complete the online form.

For Schedule Change –Rule 240/80 or Travel Notice assisted refund requests, select Schedule Change-Rule 240/80. Do not use this form for any other refund requests as this is a specific online form.

Travel Notice - St. Louis Baggage
April 22, 2011

Please advise passengers who left baggage at the ST. Louis airport on April 22, 2011:

  • Passengers may call 314-429-8914 prior to going to the airport to see if their baggage has been retrieved and is on hand.
    • We have been advised that all the bags have been retrieved and are at the Cargo Facility
  • Go directly to the STL Cargo Facilities located at 9825 Aircargo Road and proceed to door number 1. This is adjacent to the airport and is clearly marked Cargo Facility.

Japan Schedule Changes and Travel Policy - REVISED: 1703CT/12APR

As part of our continued alignment of policies and procedures with Japan Airlines, we are pleased to announce that effective today, April 11, 2011; you now have the ability to rebook customers on AA*/JL and JL to/from/through HND/NRT and beyond for applicable Travel Notice - Japan Earthquake 1.

This policy applies to all customers whose American Airlines/American Eagle/AmericanConnection flight has or has not been cancelled and AA has made a corporate decision to allow these customers to change their travel plans as stated in each Travel Notice- Japan Earthquake 1 update. If the flight has not been cancelled, you may use this policy to reaccommodate the customer. Please see Japan Earthquake 1 - Travel Exception Advisory for complete details.
