Update regarding sequester impacts on travel
American continues to monitor the operation due to the sequestration impact and while we have not experienced a significant disruption, we are seeing delays across our network due to federal budget cuts and resulting Air Traffic Control staffing issues. Please advise your customer to check their flight status before departing for the airport and sign up for travel notifications.
Travel agents who are assisting their customers should follow the Schedule Irregularity policy and procedures .Please refer to Schedule Change-Rule 240/80-Schedule Irregularity.
New Phishing Emails
A new round of fraudulent emails or phishing emails has been identified. Our customers may receive one of these emails so contact the AA Reservations with questions.
Please advise your customers to delete these emails. Let them know that American Airlines does not solicit personal information from our customers through email. An article is on the aa.com home page in the "News and Offers" area. See www.aa.com/phishing for details and examples.
Inflight Purchases Receipt
Customers who make inflight purchases can view and obtain a receipt for their transactions at www.aa.com/myreceipt.
