All AA*/QR flights for travel October 1st 2013 and beyond are temporarily closed due to fare class mapping and technical adjustments required by Revenue Management. New Phishing eMails
A new round of fraudulent emails or phishing emails has been identified. American Airlines will never ask you to perform security-related changes to your account in this fashion or send emails to collect user names, passwords, email addresses or other personal information. If you receive an email claiming to be from American Airlines, that asks for account information, it should be considered fraudulent and an attempt to obtain personal information that may be used to commit fraud.

Introducing Our New Boarding Pass
American Airline passengers can now get notification directly on their boarding passes of their eligibility for the TSA PreCheck security pre-approval program. Passengers are able to better route themselves to the designated TSA PreCheck lane for expedited screening.
Additional enhancements have been added to our boarding pass when checking in on aa.com, from Wi-Fi and food service availability to displaying Frequent Flyer AAdvantage® status, so that we can better serve our customers. Mobile boarding pass will have similar enhancements coming soon.

Changes To Bag Charges To And From Europe
American and its partner airlines, British Airways and Iberia, have jointly changed our Transatlantic checked bag charges for tickets issued on/after June 6, 2013, effective for travel commencing on/after June 6, 2013. Changes will apply to the second checked bag charge, the additional (3+) checked bag charges.
