Hurricane Alex Travel Policy
June 30, 2010

Due to Hurricane Alex, we are allowing customers the ability to make changes to their flights as listed below.

If you are traveling to or from:
Brownsville, TX (BRO)
Corpus Christi, TX (CRP)
Mcallen, TX (MFE)
Monterrey, MX (MTY) 

On the following dates: June 30 - July 5, 2010
And your ticket was issued no later than: June 30, 2010
You may begin travel as late as: July 12, 2010
Original ticketed inventory required: No

One ticketed change is allowed with no penalty. Note: Passengers who changed tickets prior to the Hurricane Alex Travel Policy are allowed an additional change at no charge for travel.

American Introduces 'Your Choice' Services

American Airlines customers now have more exciting options when traveling on American, with the introduction of Your ChoiceSM services, which provide key services intended to make the customer travel experience more personalized, more convenient, more cost effective, and more flexible than ever before.

As part of the initial Your Choice offering, American is introducing a “Boarding and Flexibility Package,” with more Your Choice services to be offered in the future.

Customers can purchase the Boarding and Flexibility Package for travel within the continental United States when tickets are purchased on AA.com, by calling reservations, or through a travel agency using the American Airlines Direct Connect. Kingston Travel Policy
June 4, 2010

Due to civil unrest in Kingston and the issuance of a Travel Alert Advisory by the U.S. Department of State that expires June 23, 2010 American Airlines offers customers the convenience to change their plans. Customers ticketed to travel on AA flights to or from the areas listed may change flights as shown without penalty.

If you are traveling to/from Kingston, Jamaica (KIN) on June 3-23, 2010 and your ticket was issued no later than June 3, 2010, you may begin travel as late as July 15, 2010. Original ticketed inventory is required.

One ticketed change is allowed with no penalty. Exception: An additional ticketed change is allowed with no penalty if changes were made during the original Kingston Travel Policy.

Bangkok Travel Policy
June 3 , 2010

Due to civil unrest in Bangkok, American Airlines is allowing customers that are holding 001 tickets with AA* flights operated by JAL through Tokyo Narita (NRT) or AA* flights operated by Cathay Pacific through Hong Kong (HKG) to make the following changes.

If you are traveling to/from Bangkok, Thailand (BKK) on June 2-4, 2010 and your ticket was issued no later than June 2, 2010, you may begin travel as late as July 31, 2010. Original ticketed inventory is required.

One ticketed change is allowed with no penalty. Tickets must be re-booked and re-issued by June 4, 2010.

Guatemala Travel Policy
June 2 , 2010

Due to a volcanic eruption in Guatemala, American Airlines offers customers the convenience to change their plans. Customers ticketed to travel on AA flights to or from the areas listed below may change flights as shown without penalty.

  1. If traveling to or from Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA) on May 28-June 3, 2010 and your ticket was issued no later than May 28, 2010, you may begin travel as late as June 7, 2010. Original ticketed inventory not required.

  2. If traveling to or from Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA) on June 2-11, 2010 and your ticket was issued no later than June 2, 2010, you may begin travel as late as June 15, 2010. Original ticketed inventory not required.

One ticketed change is allowed with no penalty. Exception: An additional ticketed change is allowed with no penalty if changes were made during the original Guatemala Travel Policy.

Passengers may elect to fly into or out of San Salvador (SAL). Tickets must be re-issued by June 11, 2010.
