G3- AA CEASES CODESHARE
G3 has identified that AA* UN segments did not generate a cancellation message of the G3 flights in the G3 system and all customers are confirmed on their original G3 flights sold as AA*. Because G3 still shows the AA*/G3 flights as HK in their system, if you attempt to actively sell the same G3 prime flight again, it will come back as UN because G3’s system is seeing it as a duplicate segment.
The agency will therefore need to manually HK the G3 Prime flights in the booking source, GDS, PNR’s as an “informative segment” of the flights that are already confirmed on G3; as those flights are HK as G3 in our System. G3 assures us the passengers are on their flights and will not be denied boarding.
The agency will need to reissue like a schedule change and follow the guidelines for rebooking the correct inventory for the G3 Prime flight. Also the agency will need to update the Endorsement Box:
Example: Using the Chart below – The original 001 ticket booked in “S” inventory for the AA* flight; when reissued for the new ticket on the G3 Prime flight will need to “manually HK” in “B” inventory
