IB is implementing new affiliate service operated by Iberia Express (I2) in these markets.
- Iberia will publish these I2 flights as IB codeshare on I2 IB*/I2)
Discontinuation of AA*/IB (AA codeshare) service effective March 29, 2012
- AA cannot codeshare on the I2 flights until regulatory approval is received. There is no time to receive this regulatory approval prior to the I2 implementation by IB.
- AA will run a schedule change on these flights that will cancel the affected AA*/IB (AA codeshare) segments.

Protection Options for Revenue/Published and Bulk/Opaque Fare Tickets:
Revenue Tickets Iberia Option:
IB via MAD to/from AGP/ALC/PMI/SVQ
- Protect on IB using the new Iberia codeshare on Iberia Express (IB*/I2) flight replacing the original AA*/IB (AA codeshare) flight segment. Book the new IB*/I2 segment with similar departure/arrival times as the cancelled AA*/IB (AA codeshare) segment.
- Protect on IB*/I2 using the same inventory in the same cabin as ticketed
- If the same inventory is not available, you may book the lowest available inventory in the same cabin
- If there is no inventory available in the same cabin, please waitlist the passenger in “Y” inventory on the IB*/I2 flight for Iberia to clear.
OR.
- If the original flight as ticketed does not exist, you may book the next IB*/I2 flight departure along with the AA*/IB to final destination using the same inventory in the same cabin as ticketed.
- If the same inventory is not available, you may book the lowest available inventory in the same cabin to the passenger’s final destination.
- If there is no inventory available in the same cabin, please waitlist the passenger in “Y” inventory on the IB*/I2 flight for Iberia to clear. If there is no other alternative flight available for the connection you may waitlist the passenger in “Y:” inventory for an AA”/IB flight to their final destination.

This is the only annotated verbiage required on the New ticket and supersedes the required verbiage for the fare ticketed
Reissue: New ticket will have the same fare/fare basis as original ticket

If a fare basis code contains NT, CB, CS, AS, ST or a published fare with a ticket designator of: CRUZ, WHLD, CONS, PDWH PCAA7 and PCAA7P by the wholesaler/consolidator that the ticket was issued by.
