SGN to/from NRT on VN or VN*
- Book VN or VN* in N or T only
Travel Agents may rebook the AA segments only in the itinerary to have a valid connection with the Other Airline flight segment or may rebook the AA segments only in the itinerary if the connection time results in more than 4 hours layover with the Other Airline flight segment:
- On AA segments only book same inventory as originally ticketed. If original inventory is not available may book AA flight in the next lowest available inventory, same cabin, up to and including K inventory.
May book first available AA flight per above and/or the VN/VN*flight in N or T only to allow one day prior or up to 2 days after the original schedule flight time in the specific inventory. May change their continuing or return travel dates to maintain the original length of stay prior to the reaccommodation
JL Protection Option
NRT to/from SGN ON JL* or JL Prime
- Book the JL* or JL Prime in the same inventory as the AA flight segments, as originally ticketed.
- i.e. in accordance with oneworld booking RBDs.
- If the same inventory not available book an alternate flight.

A non-refundable fare may be eligible for refund by American Airlines only due to a flight change depending upon the length and impact of the change (see grid below) and must be submitted online to American Airlines provide the refund request qualifies per the criteria below.
- Note: If the Schedule Change for a delayed flight results in a "misconnect" and no other alternate flight is available or is unacceptable to the customer, Travel Agents may request a refund for the Revenue/Published fare ticket.

The form below is unique for Schedule Change-Rule 240/80 non-refundable or partial refund requests when applicable; please disregard the "Note" indicated on the form and do not select "Request Refund". This form is applicable for U.S. and Canada based agencies only.
- To access the form, refer to Schedule Change-Rule 240/80 Online Refund. This form is applicable for U.S. and Canada based agencies only.
- In the Email Subject category, on the drop down menu select Travel Agency – Schedule Change/Irregularity Refund Request.
- In the Comments/Questions category, you should indicate VN SKED CHG/001TICKET NUMBER/DATE and any other pertinent information for the refund request.

If a fare basis code contains NT, CB, CS, AS, ST or a published fare with a ticket designator of: CRUZ, WHLD, CONS, PDWH, PCAA7 and PCAA7P by the wholesaler/consolidator that the ticket was issued by.
If the ticket is issued as BT (zero fare ticket) then these refunds are handled by the booking source.
Note: If the Schedule Change for a delayed flight results in a "misconnect" and no other alternate flight is available or is unacceptable to the customer, Travel Agents may process a refund for the BULK/OPAQUE fare ticket. Follow guideline for Waiver Code.
