American is required to collect additional APIS (Advanced Passenger Information System) data elements according
to U.S. law.
Under the APIS guidelines, passengers are required to provide Country of Residence detail in-addition to
a full address
(street name and number, city, state and zip code) for their first night's accommodation in the US.
The required information applies to all non-resident customers arriving on flights into the United States.
