American Airlines Resumes Service To Haiti

Beginning today, American resumes service into PAP. The first flight will depart from MIA at 6:40 a.m., arriving PAP at 8:35 a.m. This flight marks the first commercial passenger aircraft into Haiti since the earthquake that devastated the country on Jan. 12. AA will offer three daily nonstop flights – two from MIA and one from FLL, with one flight from JFK four times per week. American Eagle will begin new service March 12 to Haiti from SJU, with a daily nonstop as well as two flights through SDQ and STI. AA press release

American Airlines Streamlines Airport Processes

As part of its efforts to streamline processes and the customer experience during flight departure, American is placing greater focus on its existing Confirmed Flight Change service (CFC), while modifying its standby procedures for customers traveling within and between the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada.
Only premium customers will continue to be eligible to standby at no charge on the day of travel for a flight on which they are not confirmed. Customers who would like to change to another flight on their day of travel may purchase Confirmed Flight Change for $50, if inventory is available on the requested flights.
