Pedro Fábregas was named an Officer of AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines, and Senior Vice President at American Eagle Airlines, in November 2011. He previously served as American Eagle’s Senior Vice President — Customer Services, Vice President of Finance & Planning and Chief Financial Officer. Fábregas also serves as President and CEO of Executive Airlines, a wholly owned AMR Corp. subsidiary that provides ground handling services in the Bahamas and the Caribbean, a post he began in July 2008.
Fábregas currently oversees more than 8,700 employees, and is responsible for all airport and Flight Attendant operations for the more than 2,100 daily flights to nearly 195 cities throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Mexico and the Caribbean.
With more than 30 years of experience in the airline industry, Fábregas joined American Airlines in 1983. He is a member of the American Airlines Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. Fábregas holds a Bachelor's degree in Administration and Finance from the University of the Sacred Heart, Puerto Rico, and a Masters degree from the University of Miami, School of Business Administration in Coral Gables, Florida. He is a member of the University of Miami Board Of Overseers. Hispanic Business Magazine selected Pedro Fábregas to their 2013 Corporate Elite list.
