Daniel P. Henry is American’s Vice President – Business Technology Services, with responsibility for the company’s most technical organization, which includes the company’s infrastructure, desktop, network, mobility, security, business continuity and disaster recovery, data and service-oriented architecture teams. Henry also has oversight of American’s Jetstream℠ initiative, a multi-year, company-wide initiative to replace the current Passenger Services System.
Prior to this role, Henry was Managing Director – Jetstream℠, where he led the technology team focused on the passenger services system replacement — one of the airline’s key transformational initiatives. In his role as Managing Director, Henry also served on the Technology Cabinet, responsible for providing technology leadership through development and ownership of IT technology strategies and standards. Before beginning his role with Jetstream℠, Henry was American’s Managing Director – AA.com.
Henry brings extensive experience in project/product management, software development and program design to American. He began his career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where he worked for nine years. At EDS, Henry managed the software development group which built the Texas Medicaid system, and helped win new business valued at several hundred million dollars. Following EDS he joined marchFIRST, where he managed website delivery components for Dell Inc. and American Airlines. Henry signed on with American in 2001.
Henry earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. He resides in Frisco, Texas, with his wife and their three daughters.
