Brian J. McMenamy was named American’s Vice President – Finance and Controller in March 2006. He is responsible for financial planning, corporate accounting and reporting (including all SEC filings), financial systems, revenue accounting, corporate receivables, corporate payrolls and corporate disbursements.
Previously, McMenamy served as Managing Director, Airline Profitability and Financial Analysis, reporting directly to the CFO. He led four groups that were responsible for the evaluation of American’s network and business segments, competitive analysis, labor analysis, and financial analysis of strategic and operating decisions.
McMenamy joined American as an analyst in the Finance group in 1984 and has since held positions as Principal–Corporate Development, Managing Director–AA Cargo Finance, Managing Director–Canadian Accounting Services, Vice President–Financial Planning and Analysis of Canadian Airlines International, Managing Director–e–Ventures, Senior Vice President of Finance, TWA Airlines LLC and Managing Director, Financial Planning.
McMenamy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Economics from Rockhurst College, Kansas City, Missouri, and a Master of Business Administration degree from J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management – Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
