Suzanne L. Rubin was named Vice President – Customer Insights and Loyalty, American Airlines in May 2012, and continues to serve as President of the AAdvantage® Loyalty Program, the world’s first frequent flyer program that today has more than 72 million members across the globe. In 2012, AAdvantage® members redeemed more than 175 billion miles to claim more than 7.4 million awards for flights, upgrades and other rewards. In her position, Rubin oversees all aspects of the AAdvantage® program and leads the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and customer research initiatives for the airline worldwide.
Prior to her current position, Rubin served as Managing Director of Customer Insights and Loyalty for American Airlines, where she was responsible for key features of the AAdvantage® program and oversaw the development of new benefits and redemption opportunities for members. In addition, Rubin served as Managing Director of Fare and Product Pricing in Revenue Management, where she was responsible for managing American’s U.S. Domestic published fare structure, which represents more than $10 billion in annual revenue. During her 13-year career at American, Rubin has also held various roles in Finance and Sales, including Managing Director of Merchandising and Distribution Strategy and President of AAVacations.
Rubin received a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 1992 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business in 1999.
