Kurt Stache

Vice President – Strategic Alliances, American Airlines

Kurt Stache is American’s Vice President – Strategic Alliances, where he is responsible for managing the airline’s global alliances, international planning activities and interline product distribution. He also oversees American’s Joint Business Agreement activities with British Airways, Iberia, and Japan Airlines.

Previously, Stache was based in London and served as Vice President – International, with responsibilities for American’s business in the Atlantic and Pacific regions.

Prior to that, Stache held the Vice President and General Sales Manager position, where he was responsible for leading American’s sales team and for developing all sales policies worldwide.

Stache has held a variety of additional leadership positions throughout American, serving as President–AAdvantage Marketing Programs and Managing Director–International Revenue Management.

With American since 1995, Stache began his career as an analyst in Revenue Management. Later, he held management positions in Europe Revenue Management, Airline Profitability and Sales Strategy and Analysis.

A German and Spanish speaker, Stache lived and worked in Central America and Europe prior to joining American Airlines. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Santa Clara University in California, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
