Today, AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines, Inc., reported a net loss of $436 million for the first quarter of 2011, or $1.31 per share. The first quarter 2011 results include the impact of approximately $31 million in one-time non- cash charges related to certain sale/leaseback transactions. Excluding this special item, the Company incurred a loss of $405 million for the first quarter of 2011, or $1.21 per share. Despite Much Higher Fuel Prices, AMR Reduces 1Q Net Loss by $69 Million Versus Prior Year Period. American Airlines And Japan Airlines Begin Joint Sales Of Airfares From Japan To North America
American Airlines (American) and Japan Airlines (JAL) today announced the implementation of the next phase of their joint business through joint selling in Japan beginning February 1, 2011. The two airlines have aligned most of their Business Class and Economy Class fares for North America-bound flights originating from Japan effective April 1, 2011 – the day the airlines commence their trans-Pacific joint business.

AMR Corporation Reports 4Q 2010 Net Loss of $97 Million, Compared to a Loss of $344 Million in 4Q 2009 and 4Q Operating Earnings of $68 million
Today, AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines, Inc., today reported a net loss of $97 million, or $0.29 per share, for the fourth quarter of 2010. The results for the fourth quarter of 2010 compare to a loss of $344 million, or $1.03 per share, for the fourth quarter of 2009. For all of 2010, AMR recorded a net loss of $471 million, or $1.41 per share, compared to a loss of $1.5 billion, or $4.99 per share, for 2009.
Fourth quarter and recent highlights include: AMR launched joint business and expanded codeshare cooperation with British Airways and Iberia, announced plans to launch joint business with Japan Airlines, effective April 1, based on the expected start of revenue-sharing on applicable trans-Pacific flights and announced that it has entered into an agreement with Boeing to acquire two Boeing 777-300ERs. The fleet order is in support of American’s global network strategy and to capitalize on international opportunities.

American Airlines and Japan Airlines Announce Joint Business Benefits for Trans-Pacific Customers
Japan Airlines and American Airlines® (American) today decided to commence their joint business from April 1, 2011 based on the expected start of revenue-sharing on applicable trans-Pacific flights. Customers can expect to benefit from better flight schedules, expanded codesharing, more coordinated services, and greater access to a wider variety of fares. Japan Airlines will also co-locate in American's Terminal 3.

American Airlines and JetBlue Airways Expand Relationship
Today, American Airlines and JetBlue Airways announced the launch of a reciprocal frequent flyer agreement, and the two airlines expanded their agreement to include one new American Airlines international market and nine new JetBlue domestic markets. In addition, customers can now book American and JetBlue connecting itineraries on AA.com, providing customers with a new option for booking convenient, interline service in the select markets connecting at JFK and Boston Logan.

American Airlines has refreshed the look and feel of AA.com, in an effort to make the site easier to use and more convenient than ever before. AA To Operate World's Only Service Between New York And Japan's Tokyo Haneda Airport
American Airlines today announced it will be the first U.S. airline to launch service between the continental United States and Tokyo's International Airport at Haneda (Haneda) since the United States and Japan signed a historic Open Skies Agreement in October 2010. American is the world's only airline to fly between New York and Tokyo's Haneda in more than 30 years. American will begin its historic service on Friday, Feb. 18, from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, and on Feb. 20, from Haneda.

AMR Corporation Reports Third Quarter Profit of $143 Million
Today, AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines, Inc., reported a net profit of $143 million for the third quarter of 2010, or $0.39 per diluted share. This compares with a net loss of $359 million for the third quarter of 2009, or $1.26 per share, which included the impact of approximately $94 million in non-recurring charges related to the sale of certain aircraft and the grounding of leased Airbus A300 aircraft prior to lease expiration. Excluding those non-recurring charges, the third quarter 2009 loss was $265 million, or $0.93 per share. Third quarter and recent highlights include: AMR launched joint business with British Airways and Iberia, receivedTentative DOT Approval for Antitrust Immunity with Japan Airlines and is enhancing its strategic position in Los Angeles.

LAX Service Expansion Provides Customers More Choices, Fortifies Cornerstone Strategy
American Airlines and American Eagle will significantly increase departures at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with plans to add 10 new destinations/cities for a total of 33 additional round trips, or an increase of 28 percent, beginning March 28, 2011. In addition, the company will invest up to $20 million in its LAX facilities.
