For nearly 20 years, American Airlines has been recognized as a global leader in advocating fair-minded policies and practices for its lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) customers and employees. LGBT advertising efforts underscore this legacy and the loyal familiarity AA enjoys with its customers. We are especially proud that American is the first and only airline to earn perfect 100% marks on the HRC Corporate Equality Index every year since it began in 2002.

We also foster inclusive award-winning marketing campaigns that resonate with our customers' needs and that signify our leadership in equality for the LGBT community. American Airlines also has been invited to Capitol Hill in recent years to model our best practices for other employers.

American was the first major airline to launch a dedicated LGBT-welcoming web site, aa.com/rainbow.
