American Airlines Television

NBC Universal produces four exclusive 90-minute programs each month for American, featuring television shows from NBC, USA, Bravo, Syfy, Oxygen, MSNBC and CNBC, as well as films from Universal Pictures and programming from NBC News, NBC Sports and other divisions of the company.

American Airlines Audio

Customers can enjoy up to 16 channels of music as well as in-depth business analysis from Forbes with American flights that offer audio programming. Customers are also able to listen to a variety of music including Jazz, Latin, Classical and Japanese, just to name a few.

Visit www.aa.com/music to learn what's playing in-flight.

Customers can experience American Airlines programming with their personal headsets, or headsets can be purchased onboard for $2. Customers who buy headsets are encouraged to keep them and use them on future American Airlines flights.

Movies

American Airlines offers travelers approximately 350 to 400 feature films per year, selecting new movie titles on a monthly basis. American works with an in-flight entertainment programming group to select features that meet the ever-changing needs of customers. For example, flights to Shanghai feature some Mandarin/Chinese movies with English subtitles. During periods of the year when more families are traveling with children – holidays, summer and spring break for example – American traditionally offers more family-oriented titles.

Domestically American offers four different titles per month that cycle between Hawaii and the domestic U.S./Canadian routes.
