American Airlines Boeing 777 Promoting Global Awareness Of Breast Cancer

An American Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft decorated with a special pink-ribbon motif to promote global awareness of breast cancer recently made its first visit to London Heathrow Airport

American Airlines, the world's largest airline, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest breast cancer organization, have co-branded eight aircraft with the Komen for the Cure pink-ribbon motif. The Boeing 777-223, registration N759AN, is the final aircraft to be decorated with the distinctive livery and is the only Boeing 777 in American's fleet with the pink ribbon. Demonstrating American Airlines' commitment to fighting breast cancer around the world, the aircraft will fly to destinations throughout American's extensive global network.

The pink-ribbon Boeing 777 first arrived at London Heathrow on Thursday, September 18th as flight AA132 from New York JFK. The aircraft left London Heathrow for New York later that day as flight AA105.

American Airlines' eight co-branded planes are part of the recently expanded partnership between the airline and Komen. American Airlines is Komen's official airline, first-ever Lifetime Promise Partner and premier contributor of Komen's new category of grants – Promise Grants.

American Airlines supports a range of activities to combat breast cancer and the liveried aircraft demonstrates the airlines global commitment to raise awareness about the disease.
