Women Connected – Tips For Safe Travel |
|
|
|
Our road warriors share some of their best travel safety advice.
1. Make sure people know where you're going and have contact information. Be sure
to keep the "My Account/Contact Information" section of AA.com updated so that your reservation is automatically updated with your contact information when you login to make your reservations.
2. If you need directions, ask other women or couples.
3. For international travel, know how to contact the U.S. embassy*, where it is and how
to get there.
4. Carry copies of your passports, credit cards, visa, etc. Keep the copies in a
separate location and keep a separate copy with others at home as well.
5. Airport and airline employees can give you hotel and ground transportation
information. Talk to an employee in uniform.

6. Make ground transportation arrangements in advance. Stay focused and be watchful
at leisure airports. Refuse photos politely and don't get distracted.
7. Carry a whistle.
8. Travel during daylight hours, especially if you're less familiar with your destination.
9. Don't get stuck at the airport alone, know when they're open! Airport operating hours.
10. Write down where you park.
11. Trust your instincts and use common sense.
