Editor Letter - Welcome To AA.com/women

Jennifer Longtime Service

For more than a century, women have served in every branch of this country’s armed forces. So this month we pay tribute to their dedication and sacrifice that has helped to protect our security. First Officer Maureen Rodriguez, who has been a pilot with American Airlines for the past decade, gave us a little insight into her time spent in active duty for the United States Air Force and what she does now as an Air Force Reservist. To make sure the entire family realizes the importance of our veterans, we highlight some must-see sights in Washington, D.C. Looking for a tropical getaway? We’ve included a story about Oahu, a sultry paradise that is also an island rich in veteran history. Visit USSArizona Memorial, hike Diamond Head, and hear stories about women who bore witness to Pearl Harbor.

AA.com/women, the airline industry’s first web page dedicated solely to women, continues to provide a place for women to explore travel opportunities, discover new adventures, book their next voyage, or share their travel experiences. The site features a list of valuable travel tips, ideas for new destinations, special deals and offers, and business tools such as a booking module. We are excited to offer the interactive forum so you, the woman on the go, can tell us what you think. Let us know how we’re doing and don't forget to send us your stories. We look forward to hearing your travel suggestions. Simply click the purple Forum button below and share.

Thanks for visiting.
