Few things can inspire like art. Look around the Admirals Club lounges and you'll find them adorned with sculptures and paintings from local and world-renowned artists. Sophisticated? Yes. Inspiring? Doubly so.
As an Admirals Club member, you'll find that traveling can be a tranquil experience in a private oasis away from the airport hustle and bustle. Step into an Admirals Club lounge… Subdued ambience… Cushy comfortable chairs… A place where time flies. It's the one part of the airport that seems - nothing like the airport.
Each Admirals Club is designed to enhance the premium travel experience for our guests. Below, we highlight a few of our award winning lounges:
The JFK Admirals Club brings a slice of the Big Apple experience to travelers right in the middle of one of the world’s busiest airports. Dozens of vintage photographs on the walls depict everything from the excavation of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and construction workers atop huge skyscrapers to historic sports venues such as Yankee Stadium, Ebbets Field and the Polo Grounds. An impressive wall of windows overlooks the airport and American’s gates and planes. Small sculptures of children playing with gliders and paper airplanes dot the facility. And even the floor in the three private shower areas features imbedded replicas of New York City manhole covers with the familiar "Manhattan DPW" insignia.
The SFO Admirals Club lounge showcases the welcoming scenery of Northern California through the use of design elements that create a West Coast sunset and an interpretation of Golden Gate Park. Upon arrival to the lounge, polished stone floors awaken the senses and cocoa and cream hues provide a warm and inviting feel. Natural colored walls are accented by recessed panels of bamboo wood and reconstituted zebra wood and a built in hearth warms the space.
In addition to being aesthetically-pleasing, our new club is also environmentally-friendly. This lounge is certified with a Silver rating under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design's (LEED) Commercial Interiors classification. LEED is a rating system used by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to track and rate the 'greenness' of a building. LEED certification promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in the key areas of Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Material & Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, Innovation in Design, and Regional Priority.
The Narita Admirals Club lounge reflects both traditional and contemporary Japanese culture. The club blends natural materials such as the bamboo feature wall in the bar lounge area and the stone walkway leading to the five spa-like shower suites. Wooden grids and tile paving throughout also enhance the distinctive Japanese decor. Guests can admire how it is interwoven with traditional art, such as exquisite antique screen and woodblock print series, to the modern pottery and finely crafted bamboo pieces.
