Seasonal baggage limitations

During busy travel seasons, we place limitations on checked baggage and boxes on some flights. From June 20, 2015, to September 1, 2015, there are seasonal baggage limitations.

If there are any existing, more restrictive baggage limitations for American Eagle flights to destinations that we haven’t mentioned, those limitations will apply.


What you can bring

First and Business Class customers

You’ll be able to check up to 3 complimentary bags

What you can’t bring

When traveling to Mexico, the Caribbean or Latin America, you will not be able to travel with:

*A “box” is any container that isn’t normally used for transporting items for air travel; this includes plastic tubs, containers and coolers.

    If you are traveling to Mexico you are only allowed 1 checked bag.

    * A permanent embargo on boxes as well as excess, oversize and overweight baggage charges is in place.

    ** A permanent embargo on excess boxes and baggage is in place.
