Before You Leave...
|
- Be Prepared. Always have your boarding pass and priority verification in hand and ready for inspection at the primary checkpoint in every airport.
- Have your printed or mobile boarding
pass ready. Now when you check-in
on AA.com, you can choose to print your
boarding pass, email your boarding pass
to print at a later time, or email a
link to your boarding pass that can be
accessed through your mobile device (on
select itineraries only). These options
allow you to bypass the ticket counter
and head straight to the gate. Plus,
when printing from AA.com, you'll have
access to destination information including
offers, daily weather reports, event
details, and other promotional announcements
all specific to your upcoming trip! You
can decide to print this information
or print your boarding pass without destination
highlights by clicking on the "Print
Without Destination Highlights" link
on your boarding pass. Get
more information on Mobile Boarding Passes
.
- Explore Your Options. American Airlines offers alternatives to traditional check-in, including Flight Check-In on AA.com, Self-Service Check-In and Curbside Check-In. Review all three and select the one that suits you.
- Flight Check-In on AA.com – Flight Check-In can be found on the AA.com home page, or under the 'Reservation' tab. It's the perfect way to stay one step ahead when you're traveling within the U.S. on an electronic ticket. Flight Check-In is available if your flight is less than 24 hours but more than one hour from departure. Login to AA.com or enter the passenger name and record locator, print your pass and you're ready to go.
Round Trip Flight Check-In is also available.
Check in and print your boarding passes
for both your outbound and return flights
at the same time (as long as your return
flight is within 24 hours of initial check-in).
If you use Flight Check-In to print your
boarding passes and would also like to
check bags when you get to the airport,
you can use the Self Service Check-In machines
by selecting the "Check Bags Only" option,
or Curbside Check-In (charges may apply for baggage).
