Save time with our online check-in service. The simple five step process allows you to check-in online in no time at all. It's quick, simple and secure. So you can print your boarding pass at your own convenience whether it's from the comfort of your own home or office.

Our online check-in opens 24 hours before your scheduled international flight departure and closes 90 minutes before departure. We suggest arriving at the airport 2 hours before your flight departure to allow you time to drop any baggage, pass security screenings and board your flight. To use this service, your first flight will need to be operated by American Airlines, American Eagle, AmericanConnection, Iberia, British Airways or Japan Airlines.

Follow Our Five Easy Steps To Check-In
1. From the homepage select the "Online Check-In" tab located above the flight enquiry form
2. Login if you have an AAdvantage® number otherwise continue without logging in
3. Enter your booking details to retrieve your reservation
4. Select the passenger(s) you are checking in and follow onscreen instructions
5. Print your boarding pass or have it sent to your mobile phone
At The Airport
  • If you are travelling with luggage look for the American Airlines Bag Drop area at Heathrow Terminal 3, Zone E and Manchester Terminal 3, Zone B.
  • If you are travelling with carry-on luggage head straight to the departure gates.
  • If you are travelling in First or Business Class with luggage, then drop your bags at Heathrow Premium Check-In, otherwise head straight to the departure gates with your carry-on items.
  • If you've lost your boarding pass, you can use the airport Self-Service Check-In machines to reprint another copy or speak to an AA member of staff.
  • If you're unable to retrieve your Mobile Boarding Pass, you can use the airport Self-Service Check-In machines to print a copy or speak to an AA member of staff..
