Due to weather, American Airlines offers the following flexibility options to our ticketed customers whose travel may be impacted by this event. Customers ticketed to travel on AA*/US flights to/from/through the airports listed below may change flights as shown below.

Cabo San Lucas Travel Policy

Due to situation in Cabo San Lucas, American Airlines offers the following flexibility options to our ticketed customers whose travel may be impacted by this event. Customers ticketed to travel on AA*/US flights to/from/through the airports listed below may change flights as shown below.

If you are traveling to, through or from:

  • Los Cabos, Mexico (SJD)

On the following dates: October 16 - December 15, 2014
And your ticket was issued no later than: September 19, 2014
You may travel: October 16, 2014 - August 1, 2015 (Final travel must be completed within one year of original date of issue of ticket.)
Original inventory required? Yes
Origin/Destination/Stopover Changes allowed? Yes. Use the value of your ticket with no change fee towards any available fare to another destination. Final travel must be completd within one year of original date of issue of the ticket. (Must reissue ticket for this by November 1, 2014)

Important Travel Information

To better ensure an on-time departure, our goal is to close the jetbridge door 10 minutes prior to departure time. This allows all customers to board and stow their belongings.

From November 22, 2014 - January 8, 2015, there are limitations on boxes and baggage when traveling to certain Mexican, Latin American and Caribbean destinations. Learn more about Checked Bag Limitations.

Check your ticket before you travel on a connecting flight, as you may be connecting on a flight operated by one of our oneworld® or codeshare partners. To find out, look for the words "operated by…" on your ticket. Learn more about codeshare flights.

Strollers that are large, non-collapsible or over 20 lbs. must be checked at the ticket counter. Learn more about traveling with infants or children.

Customers with pets traveling as checked baggage are required to present a valid health certificate. Learn more about traveling with pets.
