How it Works
Signing up is easy. Once you've purchased your ticket at AA.com:
- Click on the "Have Your Bags Delivered" action button on the banner of the Reservation Details page and you'll be taken to a third party site
- There, you'll sign up for an account with BAGS VIP Luggage Delivery and will input your travel information, including your American Airlines record locator
- After completing your order, you'll receive an email confirmation

Before Your Flight
Prior to departure, simply check your bags at the ticket counter. A special indicator will be printed on your bag tags to help BAGS VIP Luggage Delivery representatives correctly identify your luggage and quickly get it to its final delivery destination.At Your Destination Airport
Once you've arrived at your destination airport, you can bypass baggage claim and head directly to your hotel, home or wherever your travels may take you. Your bags will arrive at your destination of choice within four hours, unless the destination exceeds 40 miles from the airport, at which point estimated delivery could take up to six hours. Signature upon delivery is not required unless you select that preference during sign-up.Pricing
Focus on more important things by having up to 10 bags delivered for you. Deliveries may be made to destinations up to 100 miles from the airport. If your destination exceeds 40 miles, you will incur an additional $1 per-mile charge. If you're traveling with more than 10 bags, you may place multiple orders.

Baggage delivery service is available for flights originating from all U.S. domestic locations and selected international pre-clearance cities.
International pre-clearance cities include:
- NAS - Nassau Bahamas
- FPO - Freeport Grand Bahamas
- AUA - Aruba
- DUB - Dublin
- YVR - Vancouver
- YYC - Calgary
- YUL - Montreal
- YYZ - Toronto
- YOW - Ottawa
Delivery service is not offered for arrivals at the following destinations:
- All international destinations
- SJU - San Juan
- SJF - St John
- STT - St Thomas
- STX - St Croix
- Baggage Delivery Service allows customers on domestic flights and on flights from select international destinations to check their baggage to their selected destination, such as an office, their home or a hotel.
- Baggage delivery service is available for flights originating from all U.S. domestic locations and selected international pre-clearance cities.
International pre-clearance cities include: - NAS - Nassau Bahamas

- Only inbound international customers that clear customs and are connecting to a U.S. Domestic flight can utilize the service. For example, a customer flying from Europe connecting through Miami and then flying to New York City could utilize the service. A customer traveling from Europe to Miami with no additional stops, could not utilize the service.
- It will be available for purchase online only, up to 2 hours in advance of scheduled departure.
- There are different prices based on customer needs.
- A flat rate of $29.95 for 1 bag, $39.95 for 2 bags or $49.95 for 3-10 bags for delivery to destinations that are within 40 miles of the arriving airport. For deliveries between 41 and 100 miles, it will be the applicable flat rate plus an additional $1.00 per mile.
- Expected delivery time for distances up to 40 miles from the airport is one to four hours. For locations 41 miles or more away from the airport, a 4-6 hour delivery timeframe is estimated.
- This service is in addition to applicable AA bag fees.
- The customer does not have to purchase the service at the same time as they purchase their flight. When they go back to "View Itinerary" they will see the offer again as long as it is 2 hours or more before their scheduled departure.
