Print - choose to print your boarding pass from home, the office or anywhere you have an internet connection and a printer.
Email for Print - choose to have your boarding pass sent to your email account via a PDF attachment and then print your boarding pass at your leisure.
Email use on Cell Phone or other Mobile Device - choose to have your boarding pass sent to your mobile device for select itineraries originating from
Albuquerque (ABQ), Atlanta (ATL), Austin (AUS), Charlotte (CLT), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Cleveland (CLE), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Denver (DEN), El Paso (ELP),
Houston George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), Jacksonville (JAX), Las Vegas (LAS), Little Rock (LIT), Los Angeles (LAX), Memphis (MEM), Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP),
New York LaGuardia (LGA), Oklahoma City (OKC), Orlando (MCO), Phoenix (PHX), Salt Lake City (SLC), San Antonio (SAT), San Diego (SAN), San Francisco (SFO),

By printing or emailing your boarding pass ahead of time, you can bypass the ticket counter and head straight to the gate.

If you are checking baggage at the airport, after printing your boarding pass through Flight Check-in, just use the airport Self-Service Check-In machines and select the "Check Bags Only" option, or utilize Curbside Check-In (charges may apply for both domestic and international checked baggage).
You can use Flight Check-In if all of the following apply:
You have an AAdvantage number and AA.com password, OR you know the name and record locator of the passenger.
You are checking in for American Airlines, American Eagle, AmericanConnection® operated-flights or a carrier with which we have an
electronic ticketing agreement.
However, the first flight for which you are checking in must be operated by American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection.
You are using a domestic electronic ticket (including electronic tickets issued by travel agencies or other online sources).
Your flight is less than 24 hours but more than one hour before departure.
You are booked on a reservation that only contains flights within the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii), Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Seats have been assigned. Seats must be selected to use the Flight Check-In function.

How Do I Use Flight Check-In?
If You Have An AAdvantage Number And AA.com Password:
Log in to AA.com no earlier than 24 hours before departure and no later than one hour before departure.
Select the "Flight Check-In" tab in the reservations box.
Display your reservation. (If your reservation does not appear in the "View Flight Reservations" box, use the "Find Reservations" tool.)
Verify that seats have been selected. Seats must be selected to use the Flight Check-In function.
Select the passengers you are checking in.
Print your boarding pass.
If You Know The Name And Record Locator Of The Passenger:
Visit AA.com no earlier than 24 hours before departure and no later than one hour before departure.
Select the "Flight Check-In" tab in the reservations box.
Enter passenger's first and last name and record locator in the "Find Reservations" box and click "Go."
Select the reservation for your flight.
Verify that seats have been selected. Seats must be selected to use the Flight Check-In function.
Print your boarding pass.
After using Flight Check-In to print your
boarding passes and would also like to check
bags when you get to the airport, you can
use the Self-Service Check-In machines by
selecting the "Check Bags Only" option, or
use Curbside Check-In (charges may apply).
You can redisplay your boarding pass if all of the following apply:
Your flight departs in less than 24 hours and no later than one hour before departure.
You're traveling on an American Airlines, American Eagle, or AmericanConnection® electronic ticket in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
You have already checked in.
How Do I Redisplay My Boarding Pass?
From the AA.com home page, select the 'Flight Check-In' tab.
Enter the passenger's first name, last name and six-digit record locator into 'Find Reservations' module, then click 'GO'.
On the itinerary details page, select the 'Redisplay Boarding Pass' button.
Once the pop-up page appears, you may again choose to print your boarding pass from AA.com, email your boarding pass to print at a later time, or email a link to your boarding pass to a cell phone or other mobile device to be read at the airport.
If the Flight Check-In feature will not allow you to redisplay your boarding pass, please visit a Self-Service Check-In machine when you arrive at the airport or stop by Curbside Check-In.
