    General Citi® / AAdvantage® card membership

    What will happen to my Citi® / AAdvantage® card, and will I continue to earn miles on my credit card when the AAdvantage® and Dividend Miles® loyalty programs are combined?

    There is no impact to your Citi® / AAdvantage® credit card account and your American Airlines AAdvantage miles are secure. You will continue to earn American Airlines AAdvantage miles for purchases on your Citi® / AAdvantage® card without disruption.

    Will I be able to earn AAdvantage miles when purchasing a US Airways flight with my Citi® / AAdvantage® card?

    Yes. As a primary benefit of your Citi® / AAdvantage® cardmembership, you can earn AAdvantage miles with eligible purchases made with your credit card except returned goods and services, cash advances, convenience checks, transferred balances, credits, fees and interest charges. Only the primary cardmember is eligible to earn miles. A US Airways flight purchased with your Citi® / AAdvantage® card will be considered an eligible purchase.

    If I have a US Airways credit card will I be able to pool miles with my Citi® / AAdvantage® credit card?

    This will soon be possible. Once the AAdvantage and Dividend Miles loyalty programs have combined, your miles will be combined as well.

    Do the 25% savings on eligible inflight purchases benefit that is offered with my Citi® / AAdvantage® cardmembership, expand to US Airways flights?

    Yes. This benefit is available on US Airways flights. Eligible in-flight purchases include food, beverages and headsets.

    Will I still be able to receive special discounts off mileage redemption car and hotel bookings on aa.com?

    Yes. As a Citi® / AAdvantage® cardmember, you are eligible to receive special discount rates. Rates are subject to change at any time.

    Eligible Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card benefits

    Will I be able to earn AAdvantage miles when purchasing a US Airways flight with my Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card?

    Yes. As a primary benefit of your Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® cardmembership, you can earn 2 AAdvantage miles per $1 spent on eligible American Airlines and US Airways purchases and 1 AAdvantage mile per $1 spent on other purchases. Additionally, there is no limit to the amount of AAdvantage miles you can earn. Miles earned will be posted to the primary cardmember's AAdvantage account.

    Do the first checked bag fee waiver and boarding privileges apply to US Airways flights?

    Yes. The first checked bag fee waiver will continue to apply to domestic American Airlines flights and will soon apply to domestic US Airways operated flights. When traveling on American Airlines, Group 1 boarding will continue to be a benefit of your Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card. As a corresponding benefit, when traveling on US Airways operated flights, Zone 2 boarding will soon be a benefit on your Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card.

    Can I still earn 10% of my AAdvantage redeemed miles back?

    Yes, the benefits on your Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card remain unchanged. The primary cardmember will earn 10% of redeemed miles back – up to 10,000 per calendar year for the primary cardmember.

    If I have a Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum card and another eligible AAdvantage® credit card from another issuer, do I get 10% miles redeemed back for each card?

    No. You receive this benefit at AAdvantage member level. Your AAdvantage account will reflect two line items – each with 5% of the miles you redeem back (one will be your Citi®, / AAdvantage®, account and one will be for the other issuer). Irrespective of how many AAdvantage co-branded credit cards you have, you can only get back a maximum of 10,000 miles in a calendar year

    Can I use my $100 flight discount certificate for purchase of US Airways flights?

    Yes, as long as the US Airways flight (or any oneworld flight) is booked through American Airlines. The $100 flight discount certificate can be applied online by aa.com or by calling into American Airlines Reservations.

    If I have a Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card and another eligible AAdvantage credit card from another issuer, do I get two $100 flight discount certificates?

    Yes, if you meet the criteria on both credit cards. If you spend $30,000 in eligible purchases on your Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card during your cardmembership year and your account remains open for at least 45 days after your anniversary, you will receive a flight discount certificate. Additionally, if you have a credit card account with another issuer that earns this benefit, and you meet the criteria set forth by that issuer in order to earn this benefit with that card, you will receive another flight discount certificate.

    Are reduced mileage awards available on US Airways flights?

    Yes. Reduced mileage awards destinations will soon have US Airways operated flights available, in addition to American Airlines flights.

    Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World EliteTM MasterCard® benefits

    Will I be able to earn AAdvantage miles when purchasing a US Airways flight with my Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive card?

    Yes. As a primary benefit of your Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive cardmembership, you can earn 2 AAdvantage miles per $1 spent on eligible American Airlines and US Airways purchases and 1 AAdvantage mile per $1 spent on other purchases. Additionally, there is no limit to the amount of AAdvantage miles you can earn. Miles earned will be posted to the primary cardmember's AAdvantage account.

    Am I still able to use my Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive card for membership privileges into the American Airlines Admirals Club lounges?

    Yes, Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive cardmembers will continue to have full membership privileges at the American Airlines Admirals Club lounges. Admirals Club members now enjoy a combined network of more than 50 locations worldwide.

    Do the first checked bag fee waiver and enhanced airport experience (priority check-in, security and boarding) benefits apply to US Airways flights?

    Yes. The first checked bag fee waiver will apply to domestic American Airlines flights and will soon apply to domestic US Airways flights. When traveling on American Airlines, Priority Access will continue to be a benefit of your Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive card. When traveling on US Airways operated flights, Preferred Access will will soon be a benefit of your Citi®/ AAdvantage® Executive card.

    Can I still earn 10,000 elite-qualifying miles by spending $40,000 in eligible purchases on my Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World EliteTM MasterCard®?

    Yes, you will continue to earn 10,000 elite-qualifying miles each calendar year after spending $40,000 in eligible purchases. The 10,000 elite-qualifying miles will count toward elite status within the American Airlines AAdvantage program. A primary cardmember may earn the 10,000 elite-qualifying miles only one time in a calendar year, even if the primary cardmember has more than one Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive Card.

    If I have a Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive card and another eligible AAdvantage credit card from another issuer, will I get 20,000 elite-qualifying miles (EQMs) in a year?

    Yes. You will be able to earn 10,000 elite-qualifying miles each calendar year after spending $40,000 in eligible purchases on your Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive card. If you have a credit card account with another issuer that earns this benefit, and you meet the criteria set forth by that issuer, you are eligible to earn additional EQMs. The elite-qualifying miles will count toward elite status within the American Airlines AAdvantage program.

    Are reduced mileage awards available on US Airways flights?

    Yes. The reduced mileage awards destinations will soon have US Airways operated flights available, in addition to American Airlines flights.

    Will I be able to earn AAdvantage miles when purchasing a US Airways flight with my CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card?

    Yes. As a primary benefit of your CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® cardmembership, you can earn 2 AAdvantage miles per $1 spent on eligible American Airlines, US Airways purchases and select business purchases. You'll earn 1 AAdvantage mile per $1 spent on other purchases. Additionally, there is no limit to the amount of AAdvantage miles you can earn. Miles earned will be posted to the primary cardmember's AAdvantage account.

    Yes, renew your annual cardmembership and earn a 5% AAdvantage mileage bonus based upon eligible purchases made during the cardmembership year.

    Can I still earn a $99 American Airlines companion certificate for spending $30,000 eligible purchases on my CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World MasterCard®?

    Yes, this benefit of your CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Mastercard® remains unchanged. As long as you spend $30,000 or more in purchases per cardmembership year on your CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card you are eligible to receive the companion certificate.

    Can I redeem my $99 American Airlines companion certificate on US Airways flights?

    Not at this time. The $99 American Airlines companion certificate is valid for travel on flights within the 48 contiguous United States on flights marketed and operated by American Airlines, or on flights marketed by American Airlines and operated by American Eagle Airlines, Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc., ExpressJet Airlines, Inc., Republic Airline Inc., or Chautauqua Airlines, Inc.

    If I have a CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card and another eligible AAdvantage credit card from another issuer, do I get two $99 American Airlines companion certificate?

    Yes, if you meet the criteria on both credit cards. If you spend $30,000 in eligible purchases on your CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card during your cardmembership year and your account remains open for at least 45 days after your anniversary, you will receive a $99 American Airlines companion certificate. Additionally, if you have a credit card account with another issuer that earns this benefit, and you meet the criteria set forth by that issuer in order to earn this benefit with that card, you will receive another $99 American Airlines companion certificate.

    Yes. Reduced mileage awards destinations will soon have US Airways operated flights available, in addition to American Airlines flights.
