Our hearts are with all those affected by the major tornadoes that have struck Oklahoma. Please join us in support of the American Red Cross relief efforts by making a cash donation. American will reward your generosity with an AAdvantage mile offer.

Through June 30, 2013, AAdvantage members can earn a one-time award of 250 AAdvantage miles for a minimum donation of $50, or 500 AAdvantage miles for a donation of $100 or more to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

  • Members will earn a one time bonus up to 500 AAdvantage miles.
  • Promotion dates are 5/21/13 through 6/30/13.
  • AAdvantage miles will post to the member's AAdvantage account approximately 21 days after the donation was made. Please check your AAdvantage account on aa.com to verify the AAdvantage miles have posted to your account.
  • The name on the donation receipt must match the name on the AAdvantage account.
  • You must be an AAdvantage member to receive the bonus miles.
  • AAdvantage bonus miles do not count toward elite-status qualification.

  • The American Red Cross has one shelter open in Moore and is working on locating others; they continue to operate three shelters that were opened Sunday in Oklahoma City area following the storms on Sunday
  • Red Cross volunteers were out with food and supplies supporting first responders
  • People in Oklahoma near the tornado area are encouraged to connect with one another and let loved ones know they are safe
