The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has partnered with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and select airlines, including American Airlines, to launch a voluntary expedited screening program with a select group of known travelers.
The program is currently available at select airport locations and will continue to expand to new airport locations.

When you opt in to the program, we share certain information with the TSA Secure Flight System, including:
Once TSA reviews and approves this information, the barcode on your boarding pass will contain information indicating your eligibility. Please keep in mind that because TSA always incorporates random security measures, eligibility for expedited screening will be determined on a per-flight basis.

If you qualify for TSA PreCheck through a CBP Trusted Traveler program, be sure to enter your full name exactly as it appears on your Global Entry card or GOES account, along with your date of birth, gender and nine-digit PASS ID number when making your reservation or filling out your AAdvantage Profile Secure Flight Data. Using information that matches exactly ensures that you'll be considered for TSA PreCheck screening.
