U.S. citizens require a valid Passport for travel to Ireland. A Visa is required
for stays longer than three months.

Connections and Airport Transfers
|
Eastbound
Passengers arriving from the United States will clear Immigration and Customs
at their first point of entry in Ireland i.e. Shannon or Dublin.
Westbound
Departing Dublin Airport or Shannon Airport - All passengers pre-clear
United States Immigration at Dublin Airport or Shannon Airport prior to departure.
Boston Airport - Passengers from Ireland will arrive at Terminal E, collect
all checked baggage and proceed to Customs for clearance.
Connecting passengers will proceed to the baggage recheck area where baggage will
be transferred to connecting American Airlines flights. Passengers will then proceed
to Terminal B for all connecting American Airlines flights. Passengers with boarding
passes will go directly to the departure gate indicated on the flight information
monitors throughout the American Airlines terminal.
Passengers without boarding passes should proceed to the American Airlines check-in counter to obtain a boarding pass in order to clear Security and proceed to the
departure gate.

Chicago O'Hare - Passengers from Ireland will arrive at International Terminal
5, then collect all checked baggage and proceed to Customs for clearance.
Connecting passengers will proceed to the baggage recheck area where baggage will
be transferred to connecting American Airlines flights. Passengers will then proceed
to Terminal 3 for all connecting American Airlines flights. Passengers with boarding
passes will go directly to the departure gate indicated on the flight information
monitors throughout the American Airlines terminal.
Passengers without boarding passes should proceed to the American Airlines check-in counter to obtain a boarding pass in order to clear Security and proceed to the
departure gate.

Los Angeles - Passengers from Ireland will arrive at the Tom Bradley International
Terminal, collect all checked baggage and proceed to Customs for clearance.
Connecting passengers should proceed to the in-transit desk where Aer Lingus and
American Airlines personnel will assist in transferring baggage to connecting
American Airlines flights. Passengers should then proceed to Terminal 3 or 4 for
connecting American Airlines flights. Passengers with boarding passes will go
directly to the departure gate indicated on the flight information monitors throughout
the American Airlines terminals.
Passengers without boarding passes should proceed to the American Airlines check-in counter to obtain a boarding pass in order to clear Security and proceed to the
departure gate.

New York JFK - Connecting passengers from Ireland will arrive in Terminal
4, collect all checked baggage and proceed to Customs for clearance. Passengers
should then proceed to the baggage recheck area where baggage will be transferred
to connecting American Airlines flights. Passengers should go to Terminal 8 or
9 for connecting American Airlines flights. Passengers with boarding passes will
go directly to the departure gate indicated on the flight information monitors
throughout the American Airlines terminals.

Checked Baggage and Boarding Passes
Check baggage through to your final destination and obtain boarding passes for all American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Aer Lingus.
Checked Bag Charges may apply to any flight operated by American Airlines.
Classes of Service Offered
Transatlantic flights operated by Aer Lingus offer Business (Premier) Class and Economy Class to/from Dublin and Shannon. Flights between Ireland and the United Kingdom are all Economy Class.
Pre-reserved Seats
On transatlantic flights, available 330 days prior to departure until 24 hours prior to departure in all classes of service. Pre-reserved seating is not available on all flights between Ireland and the U.K.
Meals
Meals are complimentary on transatlantic flights. Hot and cold meals are available for purchase on flights between Ireland and the U.K.
Special dietary meals are offered on all transatlantic flights and should be ordered at time of booking. Please note: A minimum 24 hours notice is required for all special meal requests.

Smoking Policy
All flights operated by Aer Lingus are non-smoking.
Fleet
Flights operated by Aer Lingus on long-haul routes include Airbus A330-300 and A330-200 aircraft. Between Ireland and the U.K., Aer Lingus operates Airbus A321 and A320 aircraft.
Lounge Access
When traveling in First Class or Business Class on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Aer Lingus, customers may use the Admirals Club® lounge or Aer Lingus lounge on the day of travel.
