As an AAdvantage member, you'll earn miles every time you buy an eligible ticket and fly on American or any of more than 40 airline participants. You'll earn extra miles if you're travelling on a Business or First Class ticket.

British Airways
American Airlines AAdvantage members can earn and redeem miles, and earn tier status credit, on all eligible flights except each other's routes between the United States and the United Kingdom. (Fare restrictions do apply.)
Effective March 1, 2008, British Airways flights no longer earn elite status bonus miles. American Airlines codeshare flights (with an "AA" flight number) operated by British Airways will continue to earn elite-status bonus miles.

Aer Lingus
Effective November 1, 2008, Aer Lingus will no longer be a participant in the AAdvantage program.
All award travel must be completed by October 31, 2009.

EL AL Airlines
GOL Airlines
Service within Brazil and Latin America. AAdvantage members will be able to accrue miles on GOL fights on or after August 1, 2009.

Mexicana
Mexicana will be joining the oneworld alliance in 2009.
All oneworld alliance benefits will become effective once they join.
