is designed to recognise and reward our best customers.
The AAdvantage® travel awards programme was the first
frequent traveller programme in the industry.
| Note: Effective 16Jan03, all elite members are eligible for
complimentary upgrades on full fare Y or B class tickets
within or between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. |

Enrolling New Members
Enrollment could not be easier...simply provide American
Airlines with the passengers full name,address and telephone
number and we will enroll the passenger over the telephone. Just call us at the AAdvantage® telephone numbers listed above.

Participants
Mileage credit can be accrued on participating airlines/car
rental companies and for stays in our hotel participants.
There are also earning opportunities with credit card
companies and many other companies.

Mileage Summaries
AAdvantage® summaries provide members a recap of account
activity. Members may choose between paper summaries
or E-summaries by visiting www.aa.com.
- E-summaries are sent monthly regardless of the members
account activity.
- Paper summaries are sent quarterly to European elite
status members regardless of account activity.
- Paper summaries are sent quarterly to European
non-elite status members provided the member had accrued
at least 1000 miles or had award activity.
If a member does not have activity during the current summary
period the summary is discontinued until activity resumes.

Claiming awards
American Airlines no longer issues paper award certificates
for AAdvantage® award travel. Passengers who wish to redeem
their miles for upgrade certificates may call AAdvantage®
reservations to have the appropriate miles deducted from
their account and the applicable upgrade inventory booked.

Online Redemption Programme
March 2005
FORT WORTH, Texas: American Airlines has launched a unique online redemption program that provides a
quick and easy way for AAdvantage® members to redeem miles for awards other than flights at
www.redeemAAmiles.points.com
With just a few simple clicks, AAdvantage® members can redeem miles for awards at thousands of hotels
around the world or convert miles into another loyalty currency. This new program significantly
enhances the value of AAdvantage® miles and gives AAdvantage® members even more choice and flexibility
with their miles.
The redeemAAmilessm program provides a single source for members to redeem miles for awards, such as:
- InterContinental® Hotel stays at over 3,500 hotels
- Marriott® Certificates for hotel stays at over 4,000 locations, or spa services and rounds of
golf at participating resorts
- Priority Club® Points
- Hilton HHonors® Points
- Club Rewards® points from Diners Club®
