We have several check-in options available:

  • Check-in desks are located in the Main Terminal, concourse B, 3rd Floor, row 9
  • Self-service check-in machines are located in the Main Terminal within the check-in area
  • Online Check-In is available from 24 hours to 2 hours before your flight departure time

American Airlines operates a number of clubs and lounges worldwide. At Brussels Airport eligible customers can use the lounge provided by British Airways, where you can relax and unwind before your flight.

Location & Opening Hours

Located in the main Terminal, airside in Pier B
Open daily from 06:00 - 19:30 or 21:00 (depending on British Airways’ late evening flight schedule)

Lounge Access

You can access the lounge if you are one of the following:

  • American Airlines Business Class passenger
  • AAdvantage Platinum or Executive Platinum member
  • oneworld Emerald and Sapphire tier members on an a flight operated by a oneworld member airline.

Guests

AAdvantage Executive Platinum / AAdvantage Platinum or oneworld Emerald / Sapphire members flying on a oneworld airline may bring one guest.

Transferring between flights is simple when you know how. Take a look at the tips below that will help you make a smoother connection at Brussels Airport.

Where do I go once I’ve arrived at the airport?

Once you’ve arrived at Brussels airport, follow the marked signs which will lead you to the correct gate for your onward flight.

What happens if I do not have a boarding pass?

If you do not have a boarding pass you will need to see an American Airlines representative at the transfer area.

Do I have to pick up my luggage or re check-in again?

If your bags have been labelled to your final destination and you were given a boarding pass for your onward flight then your luggage will be taken care of.

How do I get between Terminals?

If your flight arrives in Pier A, you will need to follow the signs to 'Transfer B' area. Walk through the underground connecting tunnel and proceed through passport control, security and proceed to your gate.

If your flight arrives at Pier B, you will need to follow the signs to 'Transfer A' area and pass through passport control. Walk through the underground connecting tunnel and pass security control to your gate.

XClose Travelling To / From Brussels Airport

When travelling to the airport, please allow yourself plenty of time. To help you on your way we have some travel suggestions below, but please check with the relevant operator before setting off to ensure you have the most up to date information.

Bus

The bus station is located below the Arrivals Hall and can be reached by the lift and escalators through the Diamond Area. Besides the local bus service (De Lijn and MIVB.STIB) and hotel shuttles, scheduled coach services to Brussels and Antwerp are available.

Car

The airport is easily accessible from the Brussels Ring Road; follow the signs for Airport or Zaventem. Please allow ample time to get there during rush hours.

Both short-term and long-term parking facilities are available at Brussels Airport 24 hours a day.

Taxi

Licensed taxis with a taximeter are available in front of the arrivals hall. You can recognize these taxis by the blue and yellow emblem.

Train

Brussels Airport is less than 20 minutes from the city centre. From 06:00 - 23.30 the Airport City Express operates four times an hour and links the airport with Brussels South, Central and North. The train station is located in the basement (level -1) of the main terminal building.
