How to use your AAdvantage Miles Once you've planned where and when you want to travel, simply contact AAdvantage Customer Service. When you're planning your trip, remember that: You can give your travel award to someone else, though once an award is issued it can't be transferred to another name. Once issued your award ticket will be valid for one year, though if you change it you may incur additional cost. Award travel may not be available on all flights and is subject to availability at the time of booking. Further restrictions may apply.
