Airport Clubs

70 years ago, American Airlines invented the airport lounge.

At the time, American’s chairman, C.R. Smith, wanted to recognise major supporters of the airline and honoured them by coining the term "Admirals".

The first Admirals Club was inaugurated in 1939 at La Guardia airport and American has since been an industry leader in this innovaton intended to bring the best of hotel customer service to the airport. Today, American Airlines’ 44 Admirals Club’s span the globe in 38 locations.

Since then we've continued to set the standard for comfort, elegance and convenience in major airports throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, Asia and Latin America.
In Europe the Admirals Club lounges are present in London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle and Frankfurt airports.
